About Us / À Propos

Scandale first opened its doors in 1977 on St-Denis Street. It relocated to 3639 St-Laurent boulevard in 1981. Its owner, Marie-Josée Gagnon, had fallen in love with the Main and its cosmopolitan appeal. She recognised the neighbourhood’s immense potential and the future would prove her right. St-Laurent did eventually become the hot spot it is today, bringing together Montréal’s finest cutting-edge fashion boutiques, throbbing nightlife and trendy eateries.

Much more than a clothing boutique, Scandale is an institution. It offers its clientele exclusive, one-of-a-kind Georges Lévesque creations as well as exquisite Parisian imports. With its often “scandalous” window displays, over the years Scandale has become one of the Main’s distinguishing attractions. Georges Lévesque’s timeless and beautifully crafted pieces are sought out by an eclectic clientele, made up of stylish women from all walks of life.
